West Dean Parish Council - Ellwood & Sling Ward By-Election

Election of a Parish Councillor for West Dean Parish Council – Ellwood & Sling Ward if the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 15 February 2018. Polling hours will be 7pm to 10pm at Sling Recreation & Social Club, Sling, GL16 8JG.

Key dates:

  • Nomination papers will be available from this office for prospective candidates week beginning Monday 8 January.
  • Nomination period commences Friday 12 January, nomination papers  must be hand delivered directly to the Deputy Returning Officer, Council Offices, High Street, Coleford, GL16 8HG between 9.30am and 4.30pm
  • Last day for receipt of nominations is 4pm Friday 19 January.
  • For persons not already registered to vote, the deadline to register for this election is Tuesday 30 January, register online
  • Postal voting applications need to be submitted to the Electoral Registration Officer, Council Offices, High Street, Coleford by 5pm Wednesday 31 January, you can download an application from your vote matters website
  • Proxy applications (allowing somebody you trust to vote on your behalf) need to be submitted to the Electoral Registration Officer, Council Offices, High Street, Coleford by 5pm Wednesday 7 February you can download an application from your vote matters website

  • For persons not already registered to vote, the deadline to register for these referenda  is Tuesday 30 January, register online
