The district's Household Recycling Centre (HRC) is located at Oak Quarry, Broadwell, Nr Coleford, Gloucestershire. It is one mile north east of Coleford on the B4226, half a mile after Broadwell crossroads. The site is operated by May Gurney on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council and is for domestic waste only.
The facility is open all year round except Christmas Day (25th December) and New Years Day (1st January).
Opening times are from 9.00am until 6.15pm.
The site accepts a whole range of items and materials for recycling including batteries, lightbulbs, oils, electrical items, scrap metal, gas bottles and chemicals. See a list of items which can be recycled at the HRC.
Residents living in the north of the district can take their recycling to the Household Recycling Centre at Hempsted, Gloucester.

- If you are bringing garden waste to the site, please ensure that trees/large branches are reduced to sections no longer than 6ft/1.8m in length. Sections longer than this can block the compactor. Please do not take garden wheeled bins to the site for emptying as the site staff will not be able to help you lift these.
- Site staff are available to assist you but if you are bringing heavy or awkward items, please consider bringing someone along to help you.
- If you intend to take a van, pick-up or trailer larger than 6ft x 4ft when you visit the HRC, you will need to book an appointment. You may book online by clicking here (up to the night before you wish to visit). If you prefer to book by phone please contact the helpline on 0845 602 9344 (please note that lines are only open Monday-Friday between 9.00am-5.00pm) giving at least 24 hours notice. Proof of residency will be required.
