Bank Holiday Collections

Bank Holidays

During the Easter holidays, collections will operate as normal on Good Friday. However, as no collections will be made on Easter Monday, your refuse and recycling will be collected a day later than normal for this week (i.e. if your collection in usually a Monday then the collection will be made on a Tuesday and so on).  Normal services will resume the following week.

Following the May Day, Whitsun and August bank holiday Mondays, all collections will also be made a day later than normal.

Information about Christmas and New Year collection arrangements for 2016/17 will be available later in the year.

Recycling Calendars

Normally residents receive their annual waste and recycling calendar in February each year.  However, in August 2016 the Council will be launching a new weekly recycling service which will mean collection frequencies will change and may mean a change of collection day for some properties.  Due to this, we will not be sending out the new calendars until the new service information packs are posted out in the summer.

For the moment, please continue to present your waste and recycling following your current collection schedule.  You can check when your collections are due by using the online bin collection calendar tool.  Simply enter your postcode and select your property from the list to access your most current collection information.  Alternatively, calendars which cover the interim period (1 April - 31 July 2016) can be viewed and downloaded below.

(If you are unsure which day and zone applies to your property this information can be found on the postcode checker (your zone will be displayed in the lower right hand corner)).
