Residential Design Guide for Alterations and Extensions
This guide is compiled to advise householders on approaches to the design of extensions and alterations which are likely to be appropriate to the building and its setting and which are therefore more likely to be granted planning permission. Sustainability Self-Assessment
The National Planning Policy Framework outlines the Governments objectives for sustainable development within the planning process. The Forest of Dean District Council is committed to supporting and promoting sustainable development through its planning functions. The Council’s Core Strategy also sets out the principle requirements for sustainable development, notably policies CSP.2 and CSP.3.
The Sustainability Self Assessment Form should be completed and submitted with your application for all applications except householder applications.
Flood Risk Assessments (FRA)
If an application site is located within a Flood Risk Zone, it is now likely that a Flood Risk Assessment is submitted as part of the planning application.

Hazardous Substances Consent
