Public Access - Planning
Public Access is an Internet service which allows users to view and monitor details of planning applications.
Please note that when making comments on a planning applications online your address will be shown on this website, along with your comment relating to the application.
The information available for viewing planning applications via the website may not be an up to date record of all the most recent correspondence which has been received. Documents are uploaded as soon as possible, however, there may be on occasion a delay as the information could be needed for the case officer to progress the case.
The views, comments and material contained in the public comments/representations made on planning applications and posted on this website are those of the contributors and do not necessarily reflect the views, comments and materials of the Forest of Dean District Council or any of its employees, officers, members, contractors or agents.
Plans, drawings and material submitted to the council are protected by the Copyright Act (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may only download or print material for consultation purposes. Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner (the applicant/ agent/ architect). You may, however, make copies of decision notices and reports provided the copies are not altered in any way.
The database contains data which has been converted from a previous system and does not reflect all the records that are held. There is a limited amount of information available on applications before 2004 and the accuracy of this information cannot be guaranteed. Documents relating to applications submitted before October 2005 will not be available. You should not rely on information from this site as an alternative to traditional Land Charges Searches. We cannot accept any liability or responsibility if you choose to rely on the information provided through searching the database and find that it is incorrect or incomplete.

Problems with Public Access

Please note that only planning matters relating to the application can be considered by the Council when making their decision. These could include highway safety, national and local planning policies such as those included in the Council’s Core Strategy and design and amenity issues (privacy, overshadowing, noise etc). Matters that cannot be taken into account include loss of view, reduction in value, or comments on personalities or private rights of way. Please refrain from making personal references in respect of third parties or comments which may be defamatory or breach data protection legislation. The Council retains the right to redact any such content from your representation.
