Housing Issues and Options
The Housing DPD is one of the documents forming the Local Development Framework ( LDF).
A new consultation paper "Housing Issues and Options", has been prepared setting out some of the possibilities for providing new housing as its seem likely to be needed over the next 20 years. It also considers what sort of housing should be provided and how best use can be made of the land that is available.
The purpose of the document is to enable debate on where and how these housing issues should be dealt with.

The Forest of Dean District Housing Issues and Options Paper was produced to spark debate and allow for the evolution of a preferred strategy. Public consultation took place during July 2006. Following the discussion of the range of options, many of the themes and issues arising from the Issues and options stage have been taken forward into the Core Strategy Second Preferred Options DPD.
