The Forest of Dean enjoys easy access to the M4, M5 and M50 motorways, which bring it within one hour's drive of Bristol and Cardiff and within ninety minutes of the industrial heartland of Birmingham.

Exporters are particularly well served with Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff airports all handling flights from Europe and the USA. All three airports are within a 90 minute drive time thanks to the nearby motorway network.

The Forest is served by Lydney, Chepstow and Gloucester railway stations and Gloucestershire Airport brings the district within easy reach for executive air travellers.
