Paws on Patrol

With funding from the Community Safety Partnership, the Street Wardens have launched a FREE initiative called Paws on Patrol aimed at all dog owners.

The Street Wardens believe that hundreds of dog walkers within our district can play a very important role in making our neighbourhoods safer and aim to give dog walkers the tools and confidence to act as 'eyes and ears' for their community while out exercising their dogs.

Dog walkers spend a lot of time in their communities at varying times of the day and evening. They are very likely to recognise when something out of the ordinary is happening.

Please note, WE ARE NOT asking Paws on Patrol members to step in and take action themselves. Paws on Patrol is simply about providing the Police and District Council with information, so together, local communities and authorities can help make neighbourhoods safer.

Members will normally receive a 20% discount on dog micro-chipping through the Street Warden team. However we are currently providing a free micro-chipping service to all members of the public following a donation of 200 micro-chips from the Dogs Trust.

New members will receive:

Whilst stocks last, a pack of 10 poop bags with a 10% discount voucher from Jollyes Petfood Superstores; redeemable at any Jollyes store.

Additional benefits to all members:

  • 10% discount off Knockley Pet Foods in Bream and Lydney on their own brand dog foods up until 30.04.2016
  • 10% discount off Hawthorn Pet & Animal Supplies, Cinderford on their own brand dog foods up until 30.04.2016
  • 5% discount off all pet foods for an indefinite period of time at Countrywide Stores in Chepstow, Ledbury and Westage Street, Gloucester

Above discounts given on production of your membership card.
