The Council has its own in-house legal department who provide legal advice to officers and members. It also deals with Freedom of Information Requests and Subject Access Requests made under the Data Protection Act 1998.
The Legal Department does not offer legal advice to members of the public. Should you have a legal query you should contact a private legal adviser or the citizens advice bureau.
