·              Quasi judicial (has some limited legal powers).

·              Determines those licensing applications not determined by the Head of Health and Environment under the Council’s officer delegation scheme.

·              Has sub-committees to hear individual applications made up of 3 members.

·              Meetings take place in public as and when necessary following receipt of representations (objections).
