Chairman of the Council

To elect the Chairman of the Council for the 2013-2014 civic year.  The Strategic Director, to request nominations.

 

Following the election, the Chairman will make the Declaration of Acceptance of Office and address the Council.

To appoint the Vice Chairman of the Council for the 2013-2014 civic year.

The Chairman to welcome Councillor Simon Roberts the new Councillor for the Bromsberrow and Dymock Ward following the district election on 2 May 2013.

Visit of the Police and Crime Commissioner

The Chairman to announce that a briefing from Martin Surl, Police and Crime Commissioner for Gloucestershire has been arranged for Councillors on Wednesday, 10 July 2013 at 6pm in the Council Chamber.

Newent and Drybrook Rugby Clubs

The Chairman to congratulate Newent and Drybrook Rugby Clubs for their outstanding performances at the Junior and Senior rugby finals at Twickenham on 4 May 2013.

Member Appointments

9.1

Allocation of seats to political groups and appointments to committees and other council bodies pdf icon PDF 115 KB

To consider report LD.462 and allocate committee seats to political groups and determine appointments to committees and sub-committees for the civic year 2013/14.

 

Please note that the council may be asked under this item to approve alternative arrangements to strict political proportionality for appointments to committees and other bodies in accordance with Regulation 20 of the Local Government (Committee and Political Groups) Regulations 1990.
