Publica in running for prestigious Employee Benefits award

Officials at Publica Group were delighted to hear that the company has been shortlisted for one of the Personnel Today awards 2018 in recognition of the company's new employee benefits scheme.
Publica is one of seven contenders vying for the award whch recognises excellence in the provision of employee benefits. The winner will be announced on 21 November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London when Publica's entry will be considered alongside entries from Anglian Water, Cirkle, Comply Direct, Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, Flagship Housing Group and Liberis.
The Publica scheme offers employees: a health care plan; extra leave purchase plan; dental plan; a car purchase offer; cycle to work incentives; affordable loans and other financial management advice, discounts on gym memberships as well as access to an employee assistance programme.
The scheme was developed with the assistance of consultants from Inecto Reward which has also been shortlisted for the Personnel Today HR Consultancy award.
Commenting on the employee benefit award nomination, Publica Group Chairman Dave Brooks said:

Publica Group was formed last year by four local authorities – Cheltenham, Cotswold, Forest of Dean and West Oxfordshire - working in partnership to deliver better services for local residents while identifying savings of £2.35 million over the first three years of operations.
Publica’ Group’s first AGM was held at the National Star College, Ullenwood on 24 July, and members from partner councils learned that savings from November 2017 to March 2018 were over £400,000 more than initial estimates for that period.
Oher highlights from the AGM included:
- 93% of key tasks are on target
- Average time to recruit new staff has been reduced to six weeks
- 120 members of staff have benefited from an increase in their annual leave allowance
- Staff turnover remains at pre-partnership levels of 10%
