Have your say on our financial support for the voluntary sector
Release date: 11 October 2018
At Forest of Dean District Council we are reviewing the way we fund the voluntary and community sector to ensure we can meet the future needs of our residents to best effect.
Over the last few months we have been gathering a wide range of relevant data so that we can allocate our funding in a way which provides the best outcomes for our District and as a result we intend to introduce a more flexible arrangement which will see funding awards increased from 1 year to 3 years thereby providing more security for the recipients.
We are aiming to introduce our new funding arrangements in April 2019. However, before we make key decisions on how the funding should be allocated we want to test our thinking with local residents and the voluntary and community sector. With this in mind, we have launched a survey on our website which asks for comments on our proposals.
The survey is available now at
https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/FODDCCommunityandVoluntarySectorFinancialSupportReview2018/ and the deadline for comments is Thursday 1 November. Please try to find the time to complete this survey – it doesn’t take very long and the views of our residents will be of immense value when arriving at our final conclusions.
