Forest of Dean District Council celebrated this year’s Community Grants Scheme by inviting over 25 organisations from across the district to an evening of celebration and networking.
Bream resident Matt Green is celebrating after securing full-time employment at Forest of Dean District Council following a successful 10-week internship with its planning team.
Forest of Dean residents are being encouraged to reuse more as Halloween approaches to reduce the amount of rubbish going in the bins and in particular to avoid plastic waste.
The Council hopes that by bringing vibrant new business into this section of Coleford, it will encourage more activity in the town as a whole. One of the units is under offer as a cafe, with the remaining two available to retail and service businesses.
As part of a campaign to reduce fly-tipping the Forest of Dean District Council’s street warden team has been out and about visiting businesses and checking that they have proper waste disposal procedures in place. Initially this work has been focused on Lydney and since August the wardens have visited 115 businesses in the town.
