Cinderford Northern Quarter

The Cinderford Northern Quarter is located to the north-west of Cinderford in the Forest of Dean.

The Cinderford Regeneration Board created an investment prospectus, which outlines their vision for the town until 2026.

The masterplan and design code was prepared to support the Cinderford Northern Quarter Area Action Plan which is part of the Local Plan. It was approved by Full Council on 23 February 2012.

A plan of all the sites is available to download.

Spine Road

The new spine road runs from the North West corner of the site to the south, linking the A4136 with Broadmoor Road. The spine road will provide access to the new development and help address wider traffic management issues in the town.

The construction was a project managed by Gloucestershire College.

Kings Lodge, Valley Road Housing Development

As part of the Cinderford Regeneration Project, Forest of Dean District Council, Two Rivers Housing and Kier Partnership Homes Limited have worked together on the redevelopment of the Valley Road site. The scheme was for a total of 92 houses, of which 55 were open market homes and 37 were affordable homes.

The project had a total cost of approximately £20m with not-for-profit Two Rivers investing £3m into the project, for the provision of the 37 affordable units.
