Council Tax and Business Rate Payment Issue

We are aware of an issue affecting some Council Tax and Business Rates payments being taken twice. This has affected residents and businesses who had payments due on 30 August and 01 September.  

Please note that this is due to a processing error by our bank and we have been advised that the duplicate charge will be reversed and refunded on Tuesday 02 September. We apologise for the inconvenience that this may have caused. 

If you have incurred further charges due to this banking error, then we are happy to investigate and assist accordingly. Please send details showing the duplicate payments and the charges incurred to [email protected] 

Please note that we have been informed that the duplicate payment will be automatically reversed on Tuesday 02 September and should show within your account on the same day.
