Draft Local Plan 2041

We are preparing a new Local Plan for the Forest of Dean District, it covers issues such as tackling climate change, protecting and enhancing the natural and historic environment, housing provision, communities and the economy. The Forest of Dean District Draft Local Plan 2021-2041 sets out the detailed policy framework and land use allocations for the Forest of Dean up to 2041. It includes the policies by which planning applications will be determined and allocates land for housing employment and other uses.

We are inviting you to comment on the Draft Local Plan between Monday 8 July 2024 and Monday 19 August 2024.

Copies of the Draft Local Plan can be viewed below and also in person at the Forest of Dean District Council Offices in Coleford.
