Local Plan Timetable
The government has introduced a new 30-month timescale in which we have to produce the District Local Plan.
Before this 30-month period commences we also have to give at least 4 months notice of our intention to start preparing the Local Plan Plan and publish our timetable. The timetable includes 3 Gateway Assessments with government to check our progress.
Our timetable for preparing the Local Plan is published below, in accordance with Regulation 4 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations.

This is the timetable which is effective as of 06 July 2026. It includes the key milestone dates for the end-to-end process for preparing a Supplementary Plan.
This CSV file contains the information in the timetable above and will be updated when changes have been made to the timetable and when milestones have been met. The data within this file is being provided to government under the Open Government Licence.

Timetable changes
The timetable will be reviewed monthly from the date of publication and updated when any changes are required.
We will also update timetable on the same day that the following stages are reached:
- publication of Gateway 1 self-assessment
- publication of Gateway 2 advice
- publication of Gateway 3 advice
- publication of the recommendations and reasons of the examiner following the examination of the plan
