Each of the 38 Councillors is elected for a four year term. They decide how the District Council should carry out its many functions.

• Conservative Party: 7 members
• Independent Group: 6 members
• Labour Party: 4 members
• Progressive Independent Group: 4 members
• Liberal Democrat Party: 1 member
• Reform UK: 1 member
