Made neighbourhood plans

Once a plan has been approved with a referendum and then approved by us it is made and becomes part of the Local Plan.

The following areas have made neighbourhood plans and they must be taken into account when planning developments in the area.

Alvington

The plan was made on 1 June 2021. The referendum for the neighbourhood plan was held on 6 May 2021, and passed with 78.8% voting in favour of the plan.

Berry Hill, Christchurch and Edge End

The plan was made on 1 March 2018. The referendum for the neighbourhood plan was held on 15 February 2018, and passed with 81.6% voting in favour of the plan.  

Coleford

The plan was made on 1 October 2018. The referendum for the neighbourhood plan was held on 13 September 2018, and passed with 81.7% voting in favour of the plan.  

Dymock

The plan was made on 11 October 2024. The referendum for the neighbourhood plan was held on 10 October 2024 and passed with 92% voting in favour of the plan.

Forest Edge South

The plan was made on 11 October 2024. The referendum for the neighbourhood plan was held on 10 October 2024, and passed with 88.7% voting in favour of the plan.

Huntley

The plan was made on 1 October 2023. The referendum for the neighbourhood plan was held on 21 September 2023 and passed with 75.3% voting in favour of the plan.

Longhope

The plan was made on 1 March 2018. The referendum for the neighbourhood plan was held on 15 February 2018, and passed with 90.9% voting in favour of the plan.  

Lydney

The plan was made on 1 March 2016, following the positive result of the referendum, where 86% of those who voted were in favour of the plan.

Mitcheldean

The plan was made on 1 March 2020. The referendum for the neighbourhood plan was held on 7 February 2020, and passed with 89.7% voting in favour of the plan.
